Comprehensive restoration of the structural integrity of oil pipelines and hydrocarbon transport systems with severe defects or corrosion. We offer custom manufacturing and installation of mechanical sleeves weldable to the specific diameter of the pipeline (Ø 20", 26", 30", or others) and advanced reinforcement systems with composite materials. Our scope covers all critical complementary activities: manual and mechanical excavation, deep surface preparation and cleaning, application of 100% solids liquid epoxy resin external coating, and soil backfilling/compaction. A high-reliability solution suitable for high water table areas through continuous suction and pumping systems, backed by rigorous Non-Destructive Testing (NDT).

The 5 Levels of Industrial Maintenance

At PROINTECA, we execute our operations fully aligned with the PDVSA Maintenance Manual (Technical Norms MM-01-01-03 and MM-01-01-04). We cover everything from basic preventive routines to major restoration of highly complex critical equipment.

Level (PDVSA MM-01-01-03) Technical Description of Scope PROINTECA's Operational Capacity
Level I: Routine External visual inspection, physical non-intrusive verification, and daily safety routines under ISO 14224 and API RP 754 standards. Operational pressure monitoring on active lines, external leak tracking, and quick-connect hydraulic coupler lubrication under corporate industrial safety protocols.
Level II: Diagnostics Parameter monitoring, operational reliability logging, and non-destructive testing under API 570, ASME B31G, and NACE / AMPP guidelines. Ultrasonic Thickness Measurement (UT), electromagnetic subterranean interference mapping, and superficial pipeline integrity analysis for active corrosion detection.
Level III: Intervention Partial intrusive inspections, scheduled preventive maintenance, and pressure tests under API 598, ASME Sec VIII Div 1, and ASME B31.3 codes. High-pressure hydrostatic testing in workshops and on-site, thrust cylinder calibration, and power transmission shaft laser alignment.
Level IV: Partial Restitution Partial asset restoration to original design conditions and operational bypasses regulated by API RP 2201, ASME PCC-2, and ISO 15614 / API 1104. Hot Tapping up to 42", under-pressure articulated mechanical plugging (Line Stop) for pipeline bypasses without flow interruption, and installation of mechanical reinforcement sleeves.
Level V: Total Restoration Complete physical rebuilding and technical recertification of critical assets under manufacturer standards (OEM) and API Q1 / ISO 9001 quality systems. OEM absolute restoration of TDW 1200-G machinery, internal rebuilding and metallization of Sandwich Valves under API 6D standards, and remanufacturing of Plugging Cylinders with technical pressure recertification for PDVSA San Tomé, guaranteeing massive savings compared to imports.
